Tarran is a keynote speaker, educator, executive coach, author and consultant. Described as witty, wise and matter of fact; funny, feminine, practical and upfront, Tarranʼs passionate about you eliminating fear, maximising your talent and accepting responsibility for your action and inaction!
Tarran has 19 years' combined experience in management, key leadership and strategic decision-making roles within the not-for-profit, community services, training, corporate and financial environments. Tarran has served on the national executive of a large organisation with annual turnover in excess of more than $55million in 2009, led a team of 100+ and contributed to numerous advisory roles with the State Government funded Workforce Planning Council.
In 2003 Tarran was nominated for the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award for contributions to the community services sector. Today Tarran continues to invest in the success of courageous entrepreneurs, business women, leaders, change agents and the organisations that employ them, while actively volunteering with Crossroads Disability Program, Gold Coast, serving in their Band and Board.
If your business is driven by a passion for people, that engages others to lift their game, and view life from an eternal perspective, then you’ll find a kindred spirit in Tarran. Men identify with Russell Crowe’s portrayal of James Braddock, in “Cinderella Man”, overcoming adversity to pursue a hope and a dream. Women identify with the various characters of the Cinderella story, particularly the “Everafter” adaptation starring Angelica Houston and Drew Barrymore. Every workplace is diverse with team members from all backgrounds and situations; just as in the film. Tarran values everyone in the story, while calling them to be more than they currently are. Whatever the story, and your role in it, there is no substitute for character, competency, clarity & confidence to achieve happy ever afters!
Tarran serves on the management committee of Crossroads, a disability program supporting 300+ people weekly and overseen by Robina Newlife Uniting Church. Tarran is involved with National Speakers Association of Australia. A featured keynote speaker for the Australian Institute of Management and host of numerous Masterclasses, Tarran allocates a few hours each month to provide executive coaching to select clients.
Doing life with her husband David and their 4 children, Ellie, Michelle, Rachel & Nikki, their family has grown to include 2 sons-in-law and 2 grand daughters. Theyʼre based at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, with strong country roots they just donʼt want to shake!
